And indeed it's an adverbial colloquial speech expression and something vulgar which reiterates denial with some recrimination and following another previous denial, that is inserted by " ". Something similar happens with the locutions "... or dead child or... or what eight quarters " that you emphasize the rejection of a purported explanation or justification.
